Google search at the top of EVERY SCREEN?

How do you remove them. Can't long hold/delete. Go Launcher here I come!

Edit: I have a feeling disabling this leads to the voice input/ search problem with the RazrM. Its not definite but I'll keep checking on this one but I'm not willing to factory reset this phone again to find out.
 
Go into Settings/Applications and disable Google Search. That removes it from all your screens.

does this affect the google search inside of chrome? We just got our razr m's yesterday and my wife was complaing bout that banner also. I know with google chrome on my laptop, I can type anything into the address bar and it'll inturn bring up a google search page. Havent used chrome yet on the M, but I would like to have that same function inside the browser only.
 
That didn't work on my phone. Went to Apps/Google Search/Force Stop and cleared data. The banner was still there and after a reboot google search reactivated of course.

You need to Disable it. Just clicking the Force stop won't do it.
 
On my RAZR M there is no option to disable Google Search. I can force stop uninstall updates clear cashe there is no Disable option
 
I have JB also on a razr M (4.1.1). There is no disable option. I'm in the app info screen, theres force stop, uni updates, clear data, clear cache. Thats it.

That's very strange. I'd suggesting doing a factory reset to try and bring back the Disable option, unless someone has a better idea.
 
you have to uninstall all updates first, only then will it change to disable. just be aware that google search is tied to all your voice search functions now, including navigation. disabling the search will cause other programs to crash if you attempt to use voice for anything.
