Does your service carrier charge you for forwarding to your gv number? Also if you only use gv for the voicemail do you still get the sms?

Can't answer the 1st part as I only use GV for voicemail I don't have a GV #, but I'd like to know this as well.

Yes to your 2nd question if you have it setup to do so in your GV settings online

Every time you miss a call and it is forwarded to GV, you are billed 1 minute. Every time you call your voicemail to check messages outside of the GV app, you are billed minutes. So be careful.

So it uses your mins not a forwarding charge.
