I disabled the integration via the computer, which disabled the texting mess. Then I got a new Google voice number and forwarded that to my sprint number. That gave me back Google voice voicemail. Has been working the way it used to for the past week. The key is, as many have said, is to get rid of the integration.

Google voice has totally screwed my phone. I installed it last night and now I cannot make or receive calls or texts. Email and internet still work. I can't even sign on to google voice with my PC to make changes. Every time I log onto my GV account it keeps trying to call my phone to verify it and since it cannot connect I can't go ahead or back. WTF? Now I will have to RUU my phone so I can go to a sprint store to have them fix this.

I have got it working (for now) Here is what I did, it is long painful process. I went back to stock Android with the Sprint RUU. Then I updated everything on the phone and ran it that way for a couple days to see if anything was buggy. I then rooted the phone and made a nandroid of my stock setup to go back to. I installed AOSP Rom and Google apps and everything seemed to be working fine. I also went to Google Voice and setup my account for JUST voicemail. I deactivated my google voice number and now I get texts through Handcent like normal and voicemail through GV. I also disabled texts and email notifications from GV so I only get the notification on the status bar and blinking LED. Good luck.
