Google Voice invites.

I tried getting one on here. No one ever sent me one so I gave up and bought one on eBay. Not too bad for under 2 bucks. I think it was definitely worth it. They sent me the code within 15 minutes. Just giving you another option cause I waited a while, and never got one.

Well I don't know how the heck it happened, but I got Google Voice! I clicked on the Google Voice app on my phone and it walked me through the set up and now I have it! I have already tested it with voice mail, works great! I am right now picking my own Google Phone Number :)

Hey, I have one google wave invite left that I can give out. I'd like to trade it for a voice invite. PM me so we can trade

I picked up the Eris the first week, and used all 3 of my email addresses to register for GV, still nothing, how long does it normally take? I really hate the VZW visual voicemail and would love to have the transcribed ones. I registered here just now because I'm hoping that an invite does turn up eventually. If anyone has one, PM me, if not, I can wait it out (I hope).

Like I said, I never received an invite, I did send a second request for an invite on my computer, then about 3 minutes later I opened the app on my phone and it allowed me to register. I am a little upset that they do not have 480 area code numbers, I had to settle for a 602, the cool thing is they did have a number that the last 4 digits are the same as my phone number.

If I had an invite I would send it!

Alright...anyone have an answer for this.

I was using the newest version, v3, but a Google search told me to use v2 instead because v3 was not using my new Google number to make calls, even though it was set to in the settings, so I installed the downgraded v2 from this link Google Docs

With this version, and v3, Voice uses it's own dialer screen that is different from your normal dialing screen...I am referring to while the call is ringing and while on the call. Voice's interface looks somewhat like the iPhone's calling screen. However, shortly after it starts dialing it switch's to the normal calling screen.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks.
