Google Voice invites.

Wow... 5 pages of requests for invites. You would think this would be automatic for Android users.... Lame.

Or were you specifically and only talking to Dwight?

Well...if you can spare one for me too, I would be very appreciative. Several people told me over the weekend they were going to invite me and then eventually found out they didn't have any invites left...such disappointment after getting my hopes up ;)

Sent you and Dwight my last 2...enjoy

I wish it were that easy chief. Most of them start at $7 and many are either scam websites, or auctions where they get upwards of $20. It's not as easy as the so many who say, "it's just $2 on ebay" and other such comments.

When you have them to give, where do you typically see them at?

Are they located in the same spot as the gmail invites that I have to give?

I have had GV for probably 3 months or more now and I still have not gotten any to give.

Wow!! That seriously made my day Cellmate!! I've been at work all day and as soon as I check my email, I had a GV Invite!!! Thanks a lot and I can't wait to return the favor whenever I can start sending them out. Android Forums is AWESOME!!!!!

Yep. Still waiting. For either Google to send me an invite or some kind soul to take pity.

Why is this particular Google product so in demand and so hard to be able to use? I mean this is a bit screwy isn't it? There's an app in the market that you can download for free....but you can't actually use it. It's really great looking though...sitting there taking up space on my phone. Bravo Google.

It's so in demand because it's wickedly awesome. And because this "reinventing of telephony" is long overdue. It's difficult for Google to get the bugs out because it's so massive and complex. It's also difficult to get because Google realizes if they opened it up to the public, everyone would want it and while they're trying to fix the bugs, it's much easier to deal with 100,000 people using it and submitting bugs, then to have 100 million people using it and submitting bugs. Can you imagine how many help tickets they receive every day even with the limited subscription? It would be insane to open it up to the public before they have it tweaked in properly.

The reason the app is in the market is so that those who have it can get the app easily. If you don't have Google Voice, you don't need the app...but I had it for quite awhile before I got the invite...and I understand your frustration...be patient grasshopper, Google will get this sorted and you'll be reading your voicemail in no time. If I had an invite, I would send you one...but alas, I'm one of those who got invited, but did not get any invites of my own.

Same here, I got it thanks to someone on here, but I don't have any invites to give out. I will say that once you get it, you'll never use the stock voice mail again, ever.

I've been trying for moonnthhs trying to get an invite.. I'd really love to use Google Voice. If anyone has an extra invite, I would very much appreciate it!

J/K .... #sigh#.......I guess I wait for the magic day when I'm deemed worthy.

Funny I had an invite to google voice in my gmail account for almost a year and didn't know about it it. I joined today. So no invites to give out.
