Help Google Wallet installed - cards valid - won't work at pay terminal

Any suggestions? I've had the app for quite a while - it worked once, but won't pay when at the terminal anymore

Do you have NFC enabled?

I'll say that it's hit and miss for me. I need to keep trying different things, out about that some places aren't awesome with their pay pass.

First time, at Walgreens, it didn't work. I then open the app and tried again, and nothing.

Second time, went to McDonalds, opened the app before I hit pay pass, and it worked flawlessly.

Last time, went to Wawa, tapped the phone, the phone opened wallet, and told me to tap the pay pass again. I did and it told me to check with the cashier if it went through. I guess it didn't because the cashier was clueless, so I ended paying with the card instead.

I just wish I knew for sure if it were me, or my phone.

fyi, it won't work at walgreens. They installed the terminals but haven't activated it.

My recommendation is to take a good look at the terminals you are tapping. The NFC location tends to vary from terminal to terminal.

Make sure a green light is showing on the terminal, if its not then its not working.

Do you have the stock battery? If not that might be the issue since samsung puts the NFC antenna (not chip) in there so it might act up that way.

Also some places still require the clerk to hit credit, so if it seems like it worked (ie lights on the terminal flash or change when you tap), but the cashier starts looking annoyed, ask them to hit credit...

Its the terminal, not you. 7-11 works every time for me while other stores are hit and miss.
