Help Google wallet on JB?

has anybody found a way to sideload the new version of Google Wallet on there jelly bean phone

i dont know anything about editing the build.prop..

can i edit it... side load GW and then edit back to normal? i just want to make sure i can get the OTA's

Editing the build.prop file tricks the market into thinking you have a device that is available to get Google Wallet. You wouldn't need to sideload after that.

Yes, you can change it back after you install it.

Personally, I just downloaded the APK from XDA and sideloaded it. Only took a few minutes.

Yes, I was able to sideload one from a link somewhere, maybe from a droid life article or and xda thread. I think you can extract it from the GAPPS of a rom too.

It works fine.

Why do you need to side load it? Are you using a custom ROM? Is this a CDMA phone?

The Verizon version doesn't have access to Google Wallet from the Play Store.

If you have root, edit the following lines in build.prop.
Yes it takes longer than side loading, but I prefer to get it from the store than to trust the source of an apk with my CC info.

ro.product.device=maguro

how do i edit it. i caught figure out how
i used a prop editor from the market but it reverted everything back to normal. i am rooted

I think you need to enable writing to the files. If you are using estrongs file explorer go to settings, root settings, enable write.

Being that wallet came on my phone but doesn't work, will edits to the build prop allow this?

says my device isn't capable or something when it came on the phone. Haha. Account is set up too btw.
