Help Google Wallet Question

Does "Android Beam" have to be enabled for Wallet to work?

I've tried using Wallet at my local gas station and it doesn't work. Although i dont sit there swiping back and forth looking like a moron but a quick swipe turns up nothing. NFC is enabled and Wallet is set up. Any way I can test this without testing it in public looking like a fool trying magic tricks over the credit machine?

Also what is "NFC polling mode"?

From what I can tell, yes, Beam needs to be enabled. At least that is my experience. I also couldn't get NFC to work when Beam was disabled and it tends to work fine with Beam enabled.

Awesome. Thats good to hear. Hopefully thats what my issue is.

Thanks for the info homie ;)

I have found it to take longer than you would expect also. Hold your phone in place until Wallet chimes.

It also helps if you start the app and sign in before you "swipe". While it should pop up if you don't start the app first, you have the typical delay of waiting for the app to pop up onscreen.

One more question and this might be a dumb one but wallet will still work if you got a case on the phone right? I know I know forgive me.
