Accessories Got an HTC 1500mah battery today.

Uptime and awake time should be different uptime is how long the the phone has been on since the last reset and awake time is how long it has been used (sending data, screen on, that stuff)

Yes, I understand that, I wasn't clear in what I wrote. My apologies. What I was attempting to convey was that my battery problem was not because of a program keeping the phone awake as my awake time vs uptime were very different. Therefore it had to be a different issue :)

i work at a radio shack. i sold a hero yesterday and noticed the hero battery was 1500mah. friday when i go back to work i will stick a hero battery in my phone to see this gap and decide whether i'll buy one or not.

So far, using the genuine HTC TP2 battery that I bought off of Amazon for $16, I have noticed a pretty large increase in battery life. I charge it all night, then leave for work at noon. I don't charge it all day and when I get home at 11pm I still have 20% left. On the stock battery it would have died at around 8-9pm or so. With the TP2 battery I leave everything on except gps and wifi. With the stock battery I would turn off everything including mobile network, and I would turn the screen all of the way down.

I have one too, working fine although I did find that I suffered the awake/up time issue. turned off flickr on HTC Sense, fixed.

Anyone know of a charger for the spare battery? I want to keep the original battery charged as spare for emergency juice.

I went and got a couple of battery's from the local sprint store for the Touch Pro 2. The problem is that the top edges are too square (as apposed to rounded) and I am barely able to close the battery door on my incredible. Lets just say I have to push somewhat hard and there is a very small gap if you look closely. Is this typical of all TP2 battery's or is the verizon version rounded like the stock Incredible battery? Thanks in advance.

I'd like to know of a spare battery charger as well. Anyone know of one?

I bought the 2x 1500 mah battery with spare charger from ebay for 11 bucks. I'm not expecting the same results as the OEM 1500 battery, but I bought it mainly for the charger.

i have the HTC TP2 battery in now (have had it in for a week now) and am less than impressed...took it off the charger this morning, and 1 hr 3 min after coming off it's down to 88%. that's with barely any usage (a few texts, and entering my breakfast into my calorie counter). gps off, wifi off, bluetooth off, mobile internet on.

i was down to 97% five minutes after taking it off the charger with absolutely no usage - took it off, locked the screen while at 100%. checked 5 minutes later, down to 97%.

anyone else having issues with this battery? or do i still need to give it some more time before worrying (is a week not long enough)?

do you let it charge overnight or do you take it off the charger right as the led turns from orange to green? if you let it charge all night, then you'll wake up to a battery that isn't 100%.

anyway... i just received an OEM RHOD160 1500Mah battery for my Incredible. it's charging right now. i'll report back after some time with it.

oh, one question. should i be concerned that the battery i just received was 100% dead when i got it? the light flashed orange for about 2-3 minutes before it would let me turn the phone on, and then when it booted up it showed 0%. i know the battery that came with my phone was about half way charged when i got it, just wondering why this one came completely dead.

Yes! That's the worst thing you can do with a battery - storing it discharged.

Second worst is overheating it.

Storing it fully charged is also bad.

oh boy. so this could be a bad battery huh?

Found it.

Based on my findings, I would immediately return a fully discharged battery.

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Simple Guidelines

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif] Avoid frequent full discharges because this puts additional strain on the battery. Several partial discharges with frequent recharges are better for lithium-ion than one deep one. Recharging a partially charged lithium-ion does not cause harm because there is no memory. (In this respect, lithium-ion differs from nickel-based batteries.) Short battery life in a laptop is mainly cause by heat rather than charge / discharge patterns.

Batteries with fuel gauge (laptops) should be calibrated by applying a deliberate full discharge once every 30 charges. Running the pack down in the equipment does this. If ignored, the fuel gauge will become increasingly less accurate and in some cases cut off the device prematurely.

Keep the lithium-ion battery cool. Avoid a hot car. For prolonged storage, keep the battery at a 40% charge level.

Consider removing the battery from a laptop when running on fixed power. (Some laptop manufacturers are concerned about dust and moisture accumulating inside the battery casing.)

Avoid purchasing spare lithium-ion batteries for later use. Observe manufacturing dates. Do not buy old stock, even if sold at clearance prices.

If you have a spare lithium-ion battery, use one to the fullest and keep the other cool by placing it in the refrigerator. Do not freeze the battery. For best results, store the battery at 40% state-of-charge.

yea, this battery is shot. it just reached full charge about 6 minutes ago and is already down to 88%.

when i take my stock battery off of the charger right when it reaches a full charge it'll usually show 100% for over an hour.

For people not getting a good battery life try charging until it is green then take it off the charger turn it off and charge until it is green again. Some people have said this helps alot getting a full charge even with the stock battery

this myth is complete nonsense, imho - i have done that and didn't get any better battery life doing it that way than i do pulling it off the charger when the light turns green.

huh? obviously i let it charge overnight, i'm not waking up in the middle of the night just to pull the thing off the charger...but how would that lead to me waking up to a battery that isn't 100%? it should be 100% immediately after i pull it off the charger...
