I highly recommend Easy Battery Saver running "Intelligent Mode". It turns of Wifi and Data when the screen is off and allows you to control sync periodicity.

BatteryXL seems better for power conservation but it is still in Beta and it seems to mess up my data connection.

Also make sure to go to settings>privacy

Uncheck backup up option. This is a huge battery pig.

Hey guys, I also got my AT&T Note yesterday too. I was really excited at first but not so much after a day with it. I don't like the stylus pen, never have and don't think I ever will. It just seems a bit slow compared to all the YouTube video reviews I saw and got hyped about. What gives??

I like the pen. i constantly use it. I'm a bit disappointed with the size thou. People made it sound monsterous. It's fairly big, but not as big as i thought. i can still use it with one hand. When he pulled out the box, I was like is that all. But I freaking love it

I honestly have used the pen only once when i first got the phone just to see what it was like. So can't really comment on it's quality. But the pen is suppose to receive alot of updates with the ics release so maybe it might make the performance better for you.

Ordered mine yesterday after I played with one in the at&t store for a little while and read on here a lot. I've had apple phones for years and tried andriod once back with the 1st galaxy s. That thing was a pile and left a bad taste in my mouth for buying anything different.

Gotta say I was really impressed with this phone during the time I was using it and best of all it didnt hurt my eyes like the tinny iphone4 does. The pen is a novelty at best but it does work well. As long as this phone doesnt randomly shut down like the international version I will be very pleased even if its not as polished as ios.

The wife is already laughing at me for the change from apple after she wittnesed the galaxy s horror but I hope to prove her wrong.

I totally know what you mean. I had one of those first galaxy pos's and if I hadn't already had good experiences with Android, that would have been it for me. Good news is that the Note is nothing like those original Galaxy phones. I think the wife will be envious of you after she sees what an amazing device the Note is, and I don't think you will be disappointed either.:)

Thanks guys I'm really excited. Gotta make a todo and to-download list based on all these great informative posts I've come across here. Love playing with new tech.
