Got my Droid today... any questions?

1. Any quality control issues with the screen such as:

A. Dead or stuck pixels?
B. Uneven backlighting?
C. Dust under the screen?

2. Does the volume rocker key feel like it is going to fall off as I read in one review?

3. Did it come with a screen protector?

Thanks!

Howdy!

I got mine bright and early (midnight) and have had difficulty putting it down! Wore out the battery twice already, but with how many apps I have been downloading- it is to be expected.

I have a few observations and questions:
1st, the slider is pretty slow/sticky. If you open the slider and look on the back of the screen there is a coating, much like a screen protector. While at Verizon I asked about it and one of the guys ripped it off of a display model. After seeing them do that I felt better about doing that to mine, but I still wanted to ask advice. Have you done that? Does it improve the sliding?

2nd, How is the memory working out for everyone? I have been downloading like a madwoman and am down to 227 MB of available space according to the SD card & phone storage Settings screen. But the SD card has 14.93 GB available! How can I start saving things to it/what can I save (I heard rumors of not being able to save apps)?

3rd, I about peed my pants when I put my Body Glove case on it, I somehow popped out part of the case around the usb connector and it looked like it was permanently bent that way! I managed to manhandle it into submission, but these things feel so sturdy I was not expecting it. I am not looking forward to taking that cover on/off every time I put the phone into the GPS dock.

4th, I LOVE IT. Everything above is normal, getting used to the phone sort of problems. I am very pleased with my purchase (even if I am hearing about instant rebates and bigger discounts... haha) and can't wait to fully utilize this beast.

A program only has to store the executable file on phone. Large data files from large programs are stored on the card. However, google is on the record saying it is going to to remove this limitation.

So it picks where to store stuff automatically? Once I get down to almost no room left on the phone do you think there will be a warning? Also, will it slow down the phone? I think I notice it being slower, but that could just be mental!

Thanks so much!
