Root Got my phone workin!!!!!!

idk what the heck happened. i just flash ics for fun and it totally worked!!!!!!! im so happy. ok now...... do i have to be on stock rom to activate it????? if not, i need help rootin 6.16......

yes you will need to be activated on a sense rom. and try running revolutionary and see if it will root you. do you have s-on? if revolutionary does not work then you need to use a stock ruu to get your hboot to change back to 2.16 then run revolutionary again.

you want revolutionary if you have s-on. but you might need to try and run the ruu if revolutionary will not work.

the easiest way is to run the ruu.exe file from this link:xda-developers - View Single Post - Supersonic Shipped ROMs 9/8/2011. download the 4.53 exe file. set your phone to usb debugging and run the ruu on your computer.

ok so you have the file on the sd card and you have renamed it to PC36IMG correct? and you get this error in hboot?

sorry still feeling the effects of the new year, but not sure what you mean by error in the ruu. you get this while downloading it? this ruu you do not run. you just put the file on the card and boot into hboot and hboot will scan for the file and ask to update if it finds it.

ok so do you have usb debugging turned on your phone when running the ruu.exe? and if that does not work then try running the PC36IMG ruu.

yeah i did. now im gettin the hboot one. but when i tried to do a diff one before it looked for the pc36 found it then just kicked me back to the bootloader. will that happen again???
