Got Pets? *with Pics*

My big ole puppy pile. It's cute when they do this.

Remington (Remmy) is my baby. I always swore I'd never treat a dog like a baby but it's so hard not to with him. I love him to itty bitty bits. He's a westie/bichon mix and around 2 years old. He's my idiot savant/panties snatcher/guard dog.

Steel is the golden child. He's perfect in every way (or so we believe). He's trained very well and just an all around loveable guy. It's hard not to love a Golden Retriever. A friend of ours once said if you screw up raising a golden retriever then you shouldn't have kids. Of all our dogs- he's the best trained and well mannered. Unfortunately, recall is not very good with him and if he gets out, he's gone.

Sunshine is our new baby. I posted a while ago about names. Well, she's got a lot of nicknames. Some of them include Legs, Miss Thang, Wiggles, and Tina (yah know, Tina Turner and her million dollar legs?). She's American Bulldog. It's hard to make that abundantly clear to people who dismiss her as a pit bull. While its a shame most people distrust the breed, we can't afford for her to be mistaken as a pit bull because we couldn't bring her back into Ontario where there is PBL :(

Then there's our foster cat. He's somewhat of a guard dog himself. He sits on our porch and glares at anyone who comes near. His name is Mr. Bigglesworth but you can call him the Almighty Emperor B- in fact, he insists upon it. ;)

No, but he sure looks like he is, he's huge. I got him from VMS, he's just a Las Vegas Albino Patternless...no giant anywhere in him (wasn't listed on the site at any rate, which it would have been).

Yeah, he does. I wasn't sure but he looked awfully big in the picture. Those guys are cool. Years ago I used to breed them and had dozens of different morphs including a few Blazing Blizzards when they were going for about $500 a pop. I couldn't believe people were paying $500 for little lizards but managed to make some decent money doing it.

I have to many to post lol but here are a few......

This is our newest girl

The Mack Attack aka Sir Mack Truck aka Mackeroni aka Mack n Cheese aka eh, n/m, this could take a while. He's a lab/pit mix, given a stay of execution and exonerated.

Leprechaun1072.jpg

He is the Protector of Pine Valley, and nemesis to golf carts everywhere as long as it's not thundering. He's a giant goofball, and VERY talkative.

@Agape
You are as bad with names as our family is.
The snowshoe cat is Alpha Orionis. Family member decided that White Shoes Johnson (after the Houston Astro receiver) was appropriate. Then we had a serial rapist named Brent J. Brent. The cat became Shoes J Shoes. Another family member took to calling her Triangle, Delta or Mailbox ass, then Gladys Kravitz. Surprised the cat isn't paranoid.

I don't see a lot of pit in him, mainly just lab. Beautiful dog though!

I'll bite. My puppy is a Shar Pei named Kitty, here's a pic of her taken on my phone shortly after having stitches removed from her eyes for a common wrinkle afflication they suffer...

I've also got two cats who are absolute jerks, and then I've got a few of these critters. Warning; don't follow that link if you're frightened of anything with more than four legs.

Nermal is on the left, she is a big female cat who eats too much and is camera shy but loves people. Dexter Morgan Stein is on the right, he loves cameras but is very small and dislikes strangers and loud noises. I may unintentionally be adding a third cat to the mix for a friend who is moving and can't take her cat (why she would do that is beyond me) but I am not letting a 5-year old cat go into a shelter.

I like dogs too but in my current apartment dogs are not allowed and I had to finagle to get my two cats inserted into the lease. They are good cats.

He def looks more the lab part. But if you compare him to a purebred black lab, you see the differences. Most notable the more square head, shorter muzzle, and muscle tone. He's very rough, but also incredibly sweet. He has a need for physical contact and uses his paws more than any other dog I've ever seen.

Very noticeable on the differences of muscular, but the square head are common in Labradors =). I actually more noticed the ears are a tad shorter.

I grew up with Labs, but like I said, a beautiful dog no doubt!!!

He also sounds like my boy. He's a sweetheart, but he'll want to wrestle every now and then. He'll curl up with you if your sick though. Love pups.

Great thread for cheering up! Pugs in their natural status:

Leonidas is the enormous one. Jewel is my Princess in the back.

We may be adding a third (and final) cat to our stable to help out a friend who is moving in with her girlfriend and she happens to be severely allergic to cats. She asked everyone she could think of as did I but we found no takers.

I am not the type to let a 5 year old cat go into a shelter (especially since she was originally adopted from one) so if the meet and greet goes well, Ally will be joining our family. She will be getting a new name however, and right now the leading name is Daphne, though if anyone has some suggestions feel free to post them.

i've had that one for 5 years now. i really need to buy a new flap door though. it was starting to get worn a couple years ago, then i got the Lab/Beagle, and he wears that door out. we just got the GSD last Tues, and she loves to go in and out also.

i recommend those doors to everyone!

Ideal Pet Products - dog doors, cat doors, doggie door

I don't have a doggie door. I just have a screen door without a screen. @#$%ing dog.

We just adopted a German Shepherd from the Houston SPCA. She needed a good home and my daugther wouldn't take no for an answer.

Here name's Bella like Bella from Twilight .... Yea I know, ironic, considering my sig. :D
