What do you mean by nothing happens? It should just go to a white huawei screen and stay there until you pull the battery.
 
so i had this live wallpaper on my 2.1 ascend phone - https://market.android.com/details?id=fishnoodle.storm-- so when i clicked on that wallpaper, the clouds were dark and cool, but when i updated to cm7 and tried it again, the clouds were gray and really weird, and i know its not the settings because i copied the settings from my old to new, and yes i tried re-installing it, so can anybody help me with this issue, because i really love this app/wallpaper.

some wallpapers are graphically different between different os versions (such as 2.1 (stock) and 2.3.4(cm7 GB) this may be your problem. what is the wallpaper? i will test for you to see if it's a bug on your end.

A couple more random questions...

I keep hearing everyone talk about Skyfire on here. I tried it out. Absolutely hated it. Is the only reason people use it because of the ability to watch videos? And do you need to get the paid version to take full advantage of the video watching?

Also, what weather app should I go with? Weatherbug seems to run better, but I always have issues with the hourly forecast (I work outside, and that's what I really need,) but whenever I run The Weather Channel app (which works fine,) it feels like a monster app, sucking up CPU even after I close it. Is it my imagination? Are there better choices?

fancy widget, you can pick the weather using weather bug or your google location, works well for me, and also beautiful widgets works just the same, but i prefer fanzy widgets!!!
 
I agree about Skyfire. The only good thing about it is the video playback. The video feature used to be free, but they recently turned it into a paid only option. However, they grandfathered in all the people who already had it.

Jailbreaking allows you to install 3rd party applications, customize graphics, sounds, etc. Unlocking allows you to use the phone on networks other than your current provider.

You just have to get the CDMA unlocking kit. but back afew years ago i unlock a cingular phone using the MEID# now with metro, have tried it yet but i bet there is a good guide out there for it...
 
I been kinda searching around to see if I can change the time/rings before the VM picks up. No luck so far so I come here.

Can we change the amount of time or rings before voice mail picks up on the Cricket network?

OR

Is that a network thing?

I called cricket and ask them, the woman on the other side of the phone said it was a hardware thing. Any truth to this?
