Root Gparted and x64?

Hopefully this is just a quick question - if not be gentle with me, as I'm a serial Windows offender and so have zero experience of Linux or other OS.

Have read and tried to absorb most of the advice/guides etc re: rooting and all it entails - and get that Gparted seems to be the recommended way to partition an SD card. But looking at download page, sys requirements seems to be only for 32-bit, so question is will it be compatible with Windows 7 x64?

PS not done anything yet in terms of rooting etc, as I'm a bit anal (ok make that a lot!) about making sure I've read and understood what I'm doing first :)

it doesnt matter about the host os as you boot into gparted live via cd or usb
you dont boot into windows

Like rasta said, since you boot into the CD, it doesn't matter what the OS of the machine is.

I used Gparted on my x64 chip (My windows is x86 but thats irrelevant).

Maybe they mean it can only use one core.

I have used gparted live cd with win7 ultimate x64 with no problems.
It is a live cd & you boot straight into that, your host machine os doesn't matter.
