Root GPS issue, radio or ROM? PLEASE HELP!!!

After rooting i immediately updated my radio to the 2.15.00.07.28 because of all the people raving about it. I have SkyRaider 2.5.2 Vanilla installed and my GPS does not work. I travel a lot and need google navigation EVERYDAY!!!!

Is it the ROM or the radio causing the issue? And what is my best solution to getting the GPS to work again?

go back to 2.1
 
i have the same issue with my GPS how do i go back to 2.1 do i just downlaod from ROM Manager and just uploaded it? would it hurt to just rewrite it or do i have to wipe it and fresh do? thanks
 
It did not work all day yesterday, woke up today tried it 3 times and it is working perfectly fine..
Problem solved i guess lol

Were you indoors when it failed and outdoors when it worked? Seems normal that people would try it outdoors but the fact is, I could get a satellite lock when indoors on both the stock radio and 2.05 every single time.

So when I loaded the 2.15 radio, I tested it indoors like usual and it failed to get a lock. Thought I had broken GPS, went outside and it locked right away. Again, seems common sensical but if you're like me, you may have tested indoors b/c it always worked before. Just a thought to others who are on a Rom/radio configuration where GPS should be working...particularly if you recently migrated to the 2.15 radio.

I tested both indoors and outdoors... I do not know why it was not working the first day but it has been working flawlessly since yesterday, i used it quite a bit today and no problem at all! :)

I am running the 2.15.00.07.78 radio with the stock kernel and skyraider 2.5.2.
 
Menu > Settings > About Phone > Software Information > Baseband Version

That's for radio. Assuming you know what Rom you're on. ;)
 
If you're on the 1.00 radio and on a 2.2 ROM, your GPS will NOT work.
If you're on the 1.00 radio and on a 2.1 ROM, your GPS WILL work.
If you're on the 2.05 or 2.15 radio and on a 2.2 ROM, your GPS WILL work.
If you're on the 2.05 or 2.15 radio and on a 2.1 ROM, your GPS WILL work (from what I've read).

With that said, has anyone downgraded from the 2.15 radio to the 1.00 radio?
