Root Gps not working.

Ok so i rooted my inredible. running ultimate droid 2.5 with invisible k kernel #28. Problem being whenever i try to use my gps it just keeps on saying checking navigation ability. Ive been told to use another app (ie weather) to find my position to make sure its working. I did and it still did the same thing. Whats up with it? I tried running lithium mod but when i went to flash gapps it had no navigation. Where can i find a gapps with navigation?

Try this..I bet it fixes it for you

Home > Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage applications; Tab "All"; Application "Maps"; Force stop; Clear cache; Clear data

open the Maps application (not Navigation) and accept the change message

Go back and start the navigation application and accept the message.

You should be good to go :)

Have you tried going into the regular maps program and locating the address there then using the context menus to get navigation to open?
Seen a few people have that being the only way to get it to work.

That's exactly what I had to do when first running the cm7 mashups. Also, you might try the gapps linked in the current cm7 nightlies thread in the Rom subforum. Also, have you been flashing gapps right after the Rom or booting up first, then back to recovery and load? I've had luck using the first method but some people swear up and down they need a bootup event before loading gapps for everything to work right.

Last thought is running a fix permissions especially if you're getting any fc's when trying to force nav. Hope you get it squared away, I'm sure its an annoying problem to have.

Try SkyRaider3.5 sense, or Athena 1.2 and use the newest EVO radio 11.19, GPS locks in like 3 seconds for me.
