Help GPS problems anyone?

[bigbadwulff]

Anyone having problems with their GPS lately? Check it and see if it works and put your rough location. Thanks.

Once I used GPS Status to download the current ephemeris, it picked everything up fine. 8 of 9 satellites for an error of 26 ft.
Have you updated your ephemeris data lately?

did but was using wrong battery cover (BH6X battery with stock cover made GPS not work, using BH6X cover GPS working.)

I have the extended battery and extended cover. I took the cover off (no cover at all) and it still did not work.

What is "ephemeris" and how do I check that. Never heard of/seen that before.

Used GPS Status earlier and cleared the cache and downloaded whatever it downloaded. Still no go.

The ephemeris is the data for the satellite locations, the file you said you downloaded.

Did you try it with a clear view of the sky?

Sure did. Outside. Not in a car.

Checking with Verizon. Of course they want me to update to Gingerbread.

I'm having a similiar issue. GPS says it on, but no satellites.
