GpsLocationProvider Wakelock 95.7%

I have installed the siyah 2.2 beta6 kernel on checkrom 3.1.1. My scaling is set to lulzactive

For the first day it seemed to be running fine, but after that I have been getting constant wakelock. I have installed the BetterBatteryStats app and noticed under partial Wakelocks that GpsLocationProvider is hammering my battery.

The stats are - 1h 46m 51s (6471s) Count:0 95.7%

I've done a google search, but haven't seen anything to answer it. Does anyone know what I should look at doing?

The usual culprits are Latitude (if enabled) and the official Facebook for Android app. It could be caused by any geolocation-aware app misbehaving but ime those two are the most common.

Thanks Slug.

Latitude isn't enabled, but I do use the facebook app. Would changing to a different kernel be the best thing?

That's what I'm using, and it doesn't exhibit the same behaviour. If the issue persists then you'll know it's caused by something else.

Everything seems to be working now. BetterBatteryStats isn't reporting any (major) wakelocks and battery usage shows non constant Awake, so starting to look good :)

Thanks Slug, after a day of use my phones doing well now. At the moment im on 96% battery after 3h 10m of battery. Wake locks have gone.

So official facebook app was definitely the culprit for me also.
