Root Graphics Drivers / Improvements

After reading some articles that it boosts performance especially in gaming, Is it possible to do this on our EVO's? And has anyone actually tried it? We all know how this helps with our PC's so I am hoping there's a way to do it in our EVO.

I never really bothered about it until I started using FPSE and looked for a graphics enhancement tweak. If anyone has an idea about this or have alternatives please share... Thank you

unfortunately, there is not much you can so as far as graphics go. it is what it is. part of it has to do with how the screen is designed. and when the evo first came out htc was capping the evos fps to 30 which is not good. but that has all been resolved now. here are some articles about from the past, if you care to read them:

htc finally released an ota that fixed the 30 fps. not sure what the final results were.

the only thing is now is making the phone perform better.

have you tried a custom kernel in conjuction with setcpu? if so what governor are you using?

I understand. I guess that's Adreno 200's limit then. Oh about the kernel. I am using Underworld V07 SBC. 499/998 Smartass V2 under Blue Merge ROM.

When I play games (FPSE) I raise my max clock to 1075 and set the governor to Performance then return afterwards. My EVO's limit is 1190. But I don't like maxing it cause the phone gets really 37 ~ 40 C.

I also heard about Chainfire 3D which they say helps in games, Not sure if it applies also with Emulated Games. Problem is I am not able to download it from Play Store and when I tried to install it from the SD card, It was completed and phone asked for a reboot but after that its gone

I guess what I am actually looking for is anything that improves the EVO's performance like V6 Supercharger. (I so love my EVO )

I think by now were at the hardwares limits.

My only suggestion would be to try the anthrax kernel
