Root Great Battery Life Evo 4g Rom and Kernel

Hey guys just thought id share that im running CM7 Nightly 113 with Savaged Zen CFS Kernel. I have my phone set to the Savage Zen governor and im getting over 24 hours with a gorilla gadget extended battery.

However, as soon as i turn 4g on my battery life starts plummeting so i dont use it very often. Hopefully one day 4g and battery life will be friends.

thanx for sharing that. with my cm7/ and tiamat kernel combo i was getting like anywhere from 19-30 hrs off charge from light to heavy useage. you should really try tiamat kernels of you have not already. my aosp goto kernel for sure. but every phone is different so it might not work out for you.

What govorner are you using with the tiamat kernel and Do you use 4g often?

I used tiamat back with nightly 87 and my battery life was horrid because back then i was searching for a kernel that could last more than 6 hours with 4g on at all times. I gave up because i ended up charging my phone 3 times a day.

well 4g is such a battery hog. i leave that off unless i really need 4g which is usually never. as far as governors go i use the smartass governor in cm7 settings.
