Help Grey Box in Gallery

[loweightes]

I took some photographs yesterday and then tried to review in the gallery but all I get is a grey box with a symbol and exclamation mark in the middle - NO PICTURES. Any body with any ideas - there is obviously some data there as details give over 500mb as the size.

Can you see the picture files and open them directly from SD card using ES File Explorer or Astro?

I have plugged in to my phone and the pc says the files are damaged or corrupted. Why should this happen - the previous day all is good and as normal.

do not fix them. reboot the phone and see if they are still there.
