Root Grrr....phone wont sleep

Android Enthusiast
This started today or maybe yesterday. Yesterday the battery seemed to drain abnormally fast, but I was out of town and noticed a few times I didn't have much signal. Today, the only changes I made were installing friendcaster, and updating adfree. This afternoon is when I noticed my phone not sleeping (wake time and up time matched). I've uninstalled adfree, friendcaster, half my games, Facebook, and even did a nandroid restore but its still staying up. My SD card is partitioned, should I do a wipe on the SD ext prior to restoring to a nandroid or is the restore supposed to wipe that too? Launcher Pro is the 2nd entry in usage statistics on spare parts, 1st is dolphin hd due to this post...

so is your wake time the same as your up time? i would try and wipe dalvik cache and cache before trying anything else. then i would charge your phone full then leave it alone off charge for an hour and see what was holding partial wake times in spare parts.

I've wiped dalvik n cache prolly 10 times before I restored. I'll do it again on this setup, then let it charge and see what spare parts says, thanks!

Is it normal that spare parts battery usage crashes when i the to open it? I'm on mikG v2.4

no it is not normal. but you want to check partial wake usage in spare parts. this should show you what is keeping your phone awake and not sleep.

Spare Parts will not work with GB yet, don't know why.

huh that is funny i never knew that. i hardly used it in the past so i never tried it on gingerbread. that is interesting. well thanx granite for looking out.

Thanks man, thought I was going crazy. Can only uninstall/reinstall so many times before you prove the definition of insanity LOL

Any other way to check partial wake usage? It sat 45 min on charger, up time was at 11min and counting though I hadnt touched it since I wiped dalvik/cache/battery stats and rebooted. My internal memory is normally 200+mb (i dont have many apps installed), but now it stays in the 80's with an occasional jump to 120mb. It got very laggy earlier today which brought my attention to memory space

Maybe I should try either reflashing from scratch or giving synergy another run?

I know there is another app you can use, but I can't remember what its called. Let me look tonight and I'll link it.
Spare Parts not working with GB drives me nuts! I'm a heavy SP user. I like to know what's using what during the day.
Today for example something has been chewing my battery, and I can't figure out what it is. I'm only up on 10 hours and I'm down to 46%. Awake time is only 1.5 hours. I am trying out the first version of Golden Monkey kernel, so I think that might have something to do with it.
