GS3 Case discussion thread

I received my Cruzerlite Clear Matte case today and I am super disappointed. I thought the back cover was suppose to be matte to prevent fingerprints and oil stains, but instead it's matte inside which ruins the purpose of getting a clear matte case. Ugh.
 
I was going to order one of the Cruzerlite cases, but then I realized that the base of the plug on my headphones of choice (ATH-M50s) is too large and it looks like I'd have to take the case off anytime I wanted to put the headphones in. A quick survey of some other brands of cases reveals what looks to be the same problem, with the cutout's for the headphone jack not being big enough.

I didn't want anything major, just something stylish that would give it a bit more grip, but it looks like I'll have to stick with my original plan to go without a case. :(
 
I just bought now the official Samsung slim cover. It's actually very good. Perfect fit and all the acces holes are well positioned. And it's very cheap. One box includes 2 covers.

Perhaps the Diztronic Matte clear case would suit your liking, it actually is a matte clear case :)

I have the same issue and I was thinking maybe it's new - but I don't have to press nearly as hard on the volume side. I wonder if I should e-mail them as well. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise that it's harder to turn on while in my pocket? I don't know..

It's a TPU rubbery case, not quite like silicone, it's a little bit firmer than that and doesn't attract lint but protects against falls. It's all one piece and fits to the device like a silicone case, you just slip it in and it fits to the phone. Lastly the grip on it is pretty good especially since this is matte TPU and not glossy. Hope this helps :D

The incipio is great I currently have it on my Bionic. It's not bulky at all. Feels great in the hand and the case is guaranteed for life. You can't beat that. I also sent you a pm

Just like NASCAR said, this case feels great in the hand and offers some good protection. I ordered the pebble blue S3 and went with the black/black Incipio case. I am happy with it and now just waiting for my email from Big Red saying it is on the way.

EDIT nevermind I just noticed the top and bottom of the phone would be exposed,

it LOOKS like a close match to the pebble blue, does anyone make a hybrid case(trident aegis or OB commuter) with the same color for this phone?

I have the aegis blk/blue for my S2 and its great! after having an OB defender on my Og Evo

I just got these cases in White and Black but not sure how to upload pictures on here. I think i'm going to be happy with it. I have rocked this style case on my iPhone 4 for the past two years and it seems to do its job. Best for someone that wants scratch protection and to be able to set their phone on the table abruptly (prior to getting the case i was always careful with how i set my phone on a table but now i can kinda just lay it down quickly). Not great for someone that drops their phone a lot as you will be playing odds on which side it lands.
 
Anyone have any exposure to the Gimmick 5 trio bump aluminum case? I really like aluminum cases and I think the silve one looks great with the white phone. I also noticed somewhere else the user had a metal batter covery along with the Trio Bump case and it was great looking! Trying to find that thread however I cannot remember. It might on that XDA site (sorry I am all new to the Android world and trying to keep track of all the forums).

I will when my phone gets here :p. The case was delivered this week, I like the looks of it and think it will match pretty good. I prefer a minimalist case, myself.

But that folio posted above has my attention too. Not thrilled with the price though.

Too bad your phone isnt here already so I can see, my phone is coming later this week as I didnt preorder but shopped around and saved 50.00 on the phone.
 
Im seriously leaning towards this case myself Samsung Galaxy S3 Commuter Series Case | OtterBox.com

in the "night sky" but it(the darker part) would have to be very close to matching the pebble blue for me to get it. If it does its going to be the case I rock long term. I like blue a lot so I dont mind the contrast, or maybe figure if there is a way to dye or paint the lighter colored part with some Krylon fusion paint or something.

I love the trident cases but I kinda want a kraken this time instead of the aegis like I have now so I guess Ill have to wait and get something now for short term.

im gonna get the OB communter or the Trident depending on what that "night sky" OB looks like. I dont want any less of a case for protection.

If you check out the pictures and details for the clear case you're interested in, it actually comes with two covers. The second cover is also clear (even though it's shown blue) and it looks like it might provide a slightly higher profile lip.
