GS3 Case discussion thread

Anyoen else also using Acase Superleggera Pro (Policarbonate + Silicon) or the Boxwave Duosuite (TPU) Cases? I have them both and prefer the Acase case. It adds more bulk but it seems to offer more protection in case of a fall, but the boxwave does look better...
What do you guys think? Does the Boxwave TPU case offer enough protection when falling on the ground?

I have the Acase and I prefer the dual protection. I keep considering going back to TPU (I had it for my old phone and LOVED it) because of it's thinness and how cheap they are but I'm just afraid of getting a cracked screen. I'm not a clumsy person, but just in case, I'd rather have the dual protection. I've never broken any of my phones but this one's just too fancy to leave it to chance :p

I just received my Acase yesterday and it seems well built as well as offering some protection in a not too bulky case. Time will tell how sturdy it is but I'm generally not too hard on my cell phones.

*I have read through this thread, but cannot tell from descriptions or pictures if the cases are what I want*

Ok, I am looking for a case that is a little more form fitting and slim than my Speck Candyshell I bought when I first got the phone. This thing is just to bulky and gets scratched up and ugly. I need something that would look good with blue. Protection is also very important. I hate rubber cases, and would rather have a hardcase.

Thanks!

Edit: I would like to keep it under 30 bucks

I'm loving my Otterbox Defender! I did take the screen protector out, and after removing that part it's perfect for what I needed. Yes it's bigger than most of the cases available, however I really like how much easier it is to hold with one hand...no slip and drop. :-)

Pls help to find this item on internet for buy

i need to buy it and sheep to Armenia.
Thx!!

Does anyone have the official Samsung GS3 flip case? I quite like the look of it and the style is quite unusual. My only worry is that it looks a little flimsy.

I have it, I like it but I have to warn you, if you drop the phone it does NOTHING to prevent the phone from being damaged. My phone has a dent in the top corner and is missing part of the paint on the front of the screen around the camera. It looks nice and feels good in the hand, but the front doesn't stay closed on it's own so it can open in your bag and rub up against anything in there.

Personally, I wish I had spent the $40 on a proper case similar to the blackberry leather cases.

I'm looking for a case for my S3 and I want the following:
-hard plastic case (prefer not to have silicone but a combo may work depending on how it's put together)
-belt clip for case/phone to snap into

I'm considering the Otterbox Defender and Ballistic SG Maxx. Are there any others out there I should put on the list? The two above have a bunch of silicone and this tends to stick inside my pants pocket when I try to remove the phone (when I'm not using the belt clip).

Thanks in advance.

Have you considered the seidio convert combo? It's $30 on buy.com.

I've found two cases so far that match the blue exactly, one online and one at Verizon. Here's the one from Verizon, a nice silicon case.

Just purchased a s3 looking through this forum, but not getting a clear answer, which case is recommended for best protection with least bulk? Price does not matter I am not gonna cheap out as I do often drop my phone and work in a industrial environment.

If you drop your phone often, then you shouldn't think about getting a case with the least bulk. Those are opposing goals. The Otterbox Defender is a popular case around here that has lots of protection.

You can get cases that are thinner but that have lots of grippy surfaces so you will hold onto it better. Maybe someone can suggest one. (My case is the grey-and-black Speck CandyShell for $18 from Amazon, but it's very smooth and only grippy around the front rim.) But i think you are risking more when you drop a phone in a thinner case.

I'm also not clumsy but just in case I prefer the acase superleggera pro, it doesn't look bad also. What did you think of the boxwave duosuite case, would you buy it?

I think I came across it but decided I wanted the silicone protection. In my opinion, I think the softer silicone interior paired with the hard outer provides more protection. More shock absorption. Just my opinion though and my very little knowledge of physics :p

So far what I have tried:

ZooGue-nice cheap case.

Case Mate Tough-Using it now, liking it so far

OEM Flip cover case-Like it, but it basically makes one handed operation impossible.

Rock Big City Flip Case-Feels nice, and it is good that you don't have to replace the back battery cover like the OEM Flip cover, but again it limits one handed operation.

I decided on the Seidio Surface with holster for its minimalist design and will at some point in the future buy their Convert add on which bulks the Surface up for rough play.

I'm considering this route as well, because i really would prefer a blue surface case. I'm keeping an eye for the convert add-on to become available from third party sellers and not just direct from seidio.

I have another month or so before I'll need a new screen protector, and i figure I'll get them together.

I'm hoping these guys get enough to make these a reality. I don't like the ones where the cards are rubbing the screen, and the only other one I've seen has only 1 card slot on the back.

Hey I just heard about these guys the other day they have a website http://www.bakcases.com

I agree with you about the cards rubbing on the screen and that is why I like them and the quality seems nice do you have one yet?? I couldnt find any reviews so they must be very newbut Im prob gonna order one in the next few days because it seems like a great idea for a case!

Why do you even need a credit card when you have Google Wallet and NFC?
