GS3 Case discussion thread

Anyone with flip case, try "flip case control" app, 24hr trial. Dont worry what it says about colour, works fine on my jet black case, ultimate pimpness :)

Does anyone have the Mophie case for the S3 and if so what has been your experience? What's the battery life been like and is it protective enough? Thanks

i got the matte blue diztronic.

like it a lot. not bulky, has a lip, adds some grip.

the front is glossy and the back is matte.

I've got the matte black.

Wasn't sure about not having the buttons covered, but have found with the cases I've bought that do cover the buttons are a bit stiff, and I end up using my nail to push them :)

Please provide some feedback when you get it.

Unfortunally I am returning it. My vendor in NL did not deliver a genuine leather case as advertised. They were not aware of it either so they asked me to return it. They are sending everything back to their factory. I am kinda bummed. I like the case a lot but the price was too steep for a fake leather one. I would have kept it if they gave me a partial refund....

I recently got the white and orange Urban Armor Gear cases for my GS3 and love them both. I will probably get the green and navy eventually too.

Just got my UAG today... It's fits nice and seems to provide solid protection. It's the best case I've purchased so far.

I just got my UAG today also. I like the feel and the look of it but mine came with a small nick in the back of the case (really small but I can see it). and also the silicone material on the front just under the home button is a little mis-formed and doesn't fit perfectly right along the bottom of the phone, it kinda droops down a little on the side. I am debating returning for a replacement with amazon but since the silicone is so thin there i'm not sure this will ever be a sure fix. is yours without any of these problems?

@RoadSuper...no problems w/mine. Try and let the silicone conform to your phone (24 hrs) If it doesn't, send it back.

Ok, will do. I have watched lots of videos, looked at lots of pictures, and read many reviews of these cases and I haven't been able to find anyone having the same problems as I am. My dad thinks that it is just because of the material being as thin as it is, and not backed up with a hard layer of material, but I'm glad to hear that it might be actually defective. I don't have any idea how it could "conform" to the phone :p but i will wait until tomorrow anyways, then return it. It is such a nice case, I will hate to have to wait another week for a new one :P

Those Urban Armor cases are interesting looking. Reminds me of a Humvee or a Transformer or something lol. Could somebody post some user pics? I'm particularly interested in the thickness and the front. Most of the pictures online show the back. Thanks!

The rubber will absorb an impact, the whole point of using a hybrid case. Single material cases don't absorb much impact, they just transfer the force.

I just got this case and it is amazing.
It is thin and adds protection.
It also looks fantastic IMHO.

Any recommendations for cases < $13 or so? Also prefer to buy on amazon since I have to order a couple other things there as well.

Seems like it's either thin silicone/TPU cases less than $9 or combination/hybrid cases > $20. Not much middle ground, and that's what I prefer.

I have an Otter Box defender for my S3, which is great case, if a little bulky.

The only issue I have is the corners of the rubber/silicon outer case are becoming lose, which looks crappy. Anyone have a solution for this.

The holster is bulky but very secure. I don't use it much as I prefer to put the phone in my shirt pocket.

Keep an eye on the Otter Box commuter cases,I picked one up for$18 a month our so ago. The hybrids in your price range aren't that great
