Root [GUIDE] FLASH PLAYER, ya you heard me right!!

There is a newer build,

Adobe Flash Player v10.3.186.3 for ARMv6 devices|MobileCruze-Android|Iphone|Symbian MobileFreeware

I havent got it to work on the old cm7 builds (reppards onld asop) or anything prior to GB (eg. Froyo), I havent tried it on Bobs or reppards new builds yet but apparently it works.

Also if it still doesnt work you can use the browser alternative, Puffin Web Browser, it plays Flash games and Videos In browser (not like skyfire, it does NOT encode to html5) it also uses a cloud based service to load your webpages much faster and it will ALWAYS display the desktop version of websites. But beware it has not been fully optimized yet, some sites will show videos slow and some will play smooth just wait for future updates. It costs like $1.99 I think.

Thanks for your post, I was going to update the op with this, but unfortunately it isn't working for me, my apps recognize it is installed, it's just not working. I'm going to keep messing around with it tho...

Puffin browser rocks for flash websites. Complements the half working flash nicely, since this hacked flash player seems to support apps better than web.

ya I just hope puffin gets updated fast I hated using Skyfire cuz of no seeking ability but I couldn't complain since I was able to watch some movies/videos lol. I've had a mission trying to get the the app to work lol, but your post gives me new hope, gunna try it when I get home :D

Also I've noticed something odd recently, idk if it was flash or something else, but on various sites with flash videos embedded it would show up on the page and not give that question mark box, and when I click it (tap it), the video goes full screen and plays flawlessly (I had the flash apk installed but never knew if it worked or not since sites like youtube displayed question mark). So ya idk whats up with that lol

LOL. It was my lightbulb that went off and I wanted the thank yous.

I've helped over a dozen people debrick now, and 1 thanks in the thread, bet you I get more thanks for thinking about the hacked flash player than the 30+ hours I put into figuring out the full service restore... oh well, lol.

Lol, I feel ya. :d

yeah puffin browser works good with the flash player.
If you are using puffin you are not using the flashplayer installed on your phone. Puffin would run like that without flash installed. You wanna see how flash player runs in browser try stock or dolphin. It seems to work a bit better for the apps requiring flash.

Just tried this on bobs build, it "half" works:

1) I only get sound on select sites (like Yahoo Movies)
2) Some sites just crash while loading the video
3) Youtube (real version) loads the player and video alright but won't actually play video (I can see the bottom seeker downloading and Vevo logo on some vids but the counter wont go on and wont play regardless if I pause then play again)
4) Full screen crashes

those were all on Dolphin browser, on the stock its the same except on youtube I get sound lol

Did you try the 10.1 linked in OP or 10.3 from further down?

Bobz ROM 10.1 installed and z0r.de finally works sound and all. Went to Ben & Jerry's looking for sweaty balls and flash is so so. Sound on the site works but the animation has black areas when the planes fly around.

Edit: forgot to say, done through stock browser and opera mini won't play flash :(

Flash will have bugs but...I downloaded swf player and that seemed to do the trick. It just sucks that the content has to be downloaded to your SD to get the most out of it. Another little trick is to set both min/max CPU speeds to the highest that your device can run without crashing. Oh and if you run a cache cleaner that allows for app exclusion add your browser of choice to that list.

Just wanted to chime in here, downloaded and installed it. Confirmed to be working flawless on Rom zero for 2.2. This rom has never let me down!

that the justin player? I signed up but dunno what im doing lol
edit : okay I downloaded the broadcaster now im downloading the player...

Doesnt seem to work. Goes to load a video shows video says tap to something then goes to channel screen and says one moment please forever.... I tested it on the adobe site and for the first time it worked...

Okay got it. The sound is fine but the video says this video not optimized for mobile phones. While i can see the video its mostly green with lateral and slanted lines on it.

Tried to update to 10.3 but it just reboots when it goes to say installing... everything on gamesbob loads and works fine though.
