So Fuzzy was asking if we can make a script to install a piece of an .apk i.e making a flashable .zip of 4G icons. took me a while but I figured it out.
You must use the framework-res and SystemUI from whatever rom and/or theme you're planning on making the changes. I will be using PG's Plagued Rom.
I recommend having a separate folder and within it have both framework-res.apk and systemui.apk from Plagued Rom.
Now open framework-res.apk with 7-zip and navigate to /res/drawable-hdpi/ here is were you will replace the 4G icons with the new ones. You will do the same thing with the SystemUI.apk, open it up with 7-zip and navigate to /res/drawable-hdpi/ and replace the 4G icons with the new ones.
Now you will need an empty patch, I will provide one that I got over at XDA.
Open the patch with 7-zip and create a folder named "framework" and place your edited framework-res.apk in it then create a folder named "app" and place your SystemUI.apk in it.
If you want you can rename the empty patch, I have the updater script set up for you guys and gals so just save it onto your SD and flash through recovery.
Almost forgot, DO NOT DELETE THE MENT-INF FOLDER THAT'S INSIDE THE EMPTY PATCH!!!!!!
P.S. @Fuzzy: as you can see within the updater script I have it set up in the format that UOT uses since any other thing I've tried didn't work :/
