Root {GUIDE x2} Update to ZVD/Root ZVD

not tru... i restored my zvb (which was on ICS 1.3) backup and i ended up with ZVD ICS 1.3..i uploaded pic of itin this post..

I finally got 1.7 to work. The theme gives me black screen. I flashed the whole rom and all is well

you were right, just restored my stock ZVB and its showing im on ZVD

I need to know why is this though. i always thought if i restored a back up with a different version (ZVB) i would go back to that version.

Just follow the guide ( EXACTLY) and you'll be updated, rooted , and with cwm installed on ZVD.
It runs really smooth on stock (even bloated), so no need to rush for custom kernels/roms. Just wait for official ZVD ones.

Not yet ...once we create a tot file for c you will be able to. Options are always good :thumbup:

I had to flash a rom cause the stock look makes me want to leave my phone at home and I couldn't go without homeless kernel. Running LDK-ICK 1.7 and homeless 1.3 no problem.

you cant tether? im tethering right meow, it didnt break tether at all

oh lol just turned debugging on and ran the root and it rebooted several times but when my phone was done its not rooted :\

wipe all the data and junk as normal and do it,

the last option in rom manager, clockworkmod recoveries click it, go to lg esteem,

This will be my first theme, so I dont really know how it will turn out, I will see my idea and if I think its easy to theme Ill do others, and all C, themes work well with D, I am currently on Idriftas IDK 1.7

I am ok with zvd however the boot takes like 2 minutes is anybody having this issue?
