Guys! Try out GDE homescreen cube! AMAZING!!!

I reduced it from 7 screens to 5 cause I just couldn't find enough stuff to put on all those screens. Even still i'm only using 4.

the htc themes are purdy too.

Well worth the 3 bucks.

5 screens (default effect)and it seems smoother than the base android 2.0 home.

I couldn't agree more. My droid is running smoother than it ever has.
Except for scrolling through the apps. That seems like I'm in quicksand...no pun intended.
 
Installed it, and the first widget I put on my homescreen...the scoreboard from google didn't work. So its uninstalled. Might reconsider installing it if I hear about some fixes.
 
The up and down buttons did nothing, and when I pressed to changed from NHL to NBA it also did nothing. Weird yours is working
 
All my widgets are working fine (and believe me, this is a widget phone to me).
BUT... all of them took a long time to update the first time. after that they were fine though. just something to look at.

I have been running it The past few days. Here recently its gotten a lot smoother. Using it with the stretch effect. Really nice. I don't like that you can't organize your apps in the dock though.

Ditto here. No issues what so ever. I did get one force close when trying to change the wallpaper once though. /shrug
 
Does this like REPLACE the home functionality? or work on TOP of our current home screen?

I'm asking because I worry about getting this and it's just another thing running in the background, i don't want something extra running.
 
Anyone having trouble getting Weather Home clock to load? It just says loading constantly

this might be a newb question...but they all say they require GDE but where do i get that. I searched the market and cant find the actual GDE just the skins for it...?
 
This app is definitely superior to the current home screen mod apps.

I love the Obsidian skin for GDE... blends in well with any wallpaper
 
If you turn off cube and fast flick then this operates just like the default but with more customization, screens and MUCH smoother with screens full of widgets.
 
Just bought GDE today, I'm loving it.
The 'fade' transition effect is quite fast, and looks baller. Now all I need is a way to change icon graphics! Anyone know of anything that would do that?
 
Love it!! I downloaded it as soon as I saw your post. I've been using it all day. No crashes, no apparent reduction in speed. Definitely the best home replacement I've used so far, at least until Sweeterhome is full fledged.

I discovered that the other (non-cube) transitions such as fade are much quicker, and I really like the way the fade looks.
 
OK, so I just installed it and it launched once. I then chose the normal home screen as the standard and Im trying to relaunch GDE but cant find it anywhere on my phone. Its not on my apps page and its not listed as a widget? Any one know?
