Handcent gets better and better!

Just updated handcent version and now when you hit menu>attach>handcent greetings, you can send animated messages to people with categories that include Angels, Animals, Birthday, Daily Glitters, Disney, Funny, AND I love you... and you can still record your own audio and send via MMS, and go into Batch Mode and delete multiple threads. Other SMS apps have some catching up to do!

I just wish the simple feature I requested would be added....

When you use Quick Compose for a message I would like the soft keyboard to automatically pop up :( It's an option for the Pop-up Window....
 
It only deletes the ones i tell it to.. im assuming you are talking about it randomly deleting messages? I've used Handcent since around Thanksgiving and I've never had any issues with lost or deleted messages.
 
Also, i LOVE this app. but its soo slow when i go to open it it takes WAY to long to go all my conversations. Does any one else have this problem? and how do i fix it?
 
If your conversations are massive then don't be surprised it takes so long, same if you try to bulk delete thousands..

Handcent has always been perfect for me in the 4 (or thereabouts) months i've been using it.
 
Love Handcent and received a MMS text today without issues although I do have one question ... does anyone know how to delete messages without deleting the whole thread?

You just need to press and hold at a particular sms/mms that u want to delete. A popup menu will show up, u can do a lot of things here including deleting that particular message.

I loved Handcent, but I switched to chompSMS due to Force Closes on my Moto DROID. Perhaps I'll install it again and see if they fixed the issues I was having. Thanks for the heads-up.

Erm..yes u can.. u just open a particular thread, then press menu button, select more --> batch mode. Now your thread got small tick box on the right. tick which ever messages u want... Press menu button, select delete selected.

Someone asked a question on how to delete single messages or groups of single messages without deleting the whole thread. I had that problem too till I found the SMS DELETE Ap. Search for it. It works good. I only use it to clean up my texts.

Using Chomp at the moment but thinking of ditching it due to Forced closures on my Hero. Get a text, it pops up on screen and then causes a forced closure. Doesn't happen all of the time, but often enough that it's annoying. May go back to the default App as this rate!
 
After yesterdays update I had to delete Handcent. If I tried opening the physical keyboard on my Moment while a popup was on the screen my phone would shut down. Also when I selected a thread and opened my keyboard while the thread was opening I got the same power off issue. Anyone have a copy of the old Handcent?
 
I do love Handcent, the only gripe I have with it is that it wlil not allow me to send a text message that contains a
 
I installed the update and a buddy tried sending me a MMS and I never received it. Who cares about greetings and pictures I want stability and basic functionality first. Stop working on pointless drivel and please focus on the important things. Stop saying in the chanelog that it's now quicker and more responsive and ACTUALLY make it quicker and more responsive.
 
I'd be frustrated too but I think we blame the apps too much when it might be location or network issues. I have 2 Moto Droids and I MMS my wife inside my Govt. building with a metal roof with one Verizon bar but the 3G is still rockin and she gets every MMS/SMS I send and vice versa. We've both had Handcent since Thanksgiving and it's been nothing but flawless and I don't think they made a special version of Handcent just for me. Just sayin...
