Help Handcent not receiving text

I have been using Handcent for a few months and have not had any problems until yesterday. I gave my number to someone over the weekend and they texted me fine the next day (it came through Handcent with no problem). I didnt have them in my phone book at the time. So the next day I added the number to my phone book and now the texts wont come though Handcent. I get them in the native text app on my EVO. If I send a text from handcent, it goes through fine but it wont show that it was sent in Handcent. Ive deleted the number from my phone book and it still doesnt work. I have Handcent set up just they way I like it and i am trying to avoid uninstalling it and reinstalling it. Anyone have any suggestions?

go to menu.settings.applications.manage and find handcent...see if there is an option for uninstall updates and try that. you can also clear cache while in there. clearing data will remove all user settings (start from scratch)

alot of times simply clearing cache will fix quirky issues
