Help handcent SMS help

I have the evo 4g and I've installed handcent. Works great but everytime I get a voicemail handcent sends me an SMS from a 9016 telling me I have a voicemail. Anybody
how to stop this?

I called sprint and they told me it's handcent conflicting with sprint visual voice mail. I was able to fix it about 6 months back but had to reinstall my phone and now it's doing it again but I can't remember what I did. Any help on this would be great. These 2 SMS I get every time I get a voicemail is really annoying.
 
I used to use Handsent. Switched over to Go sms its much better IMO. However if memory serves me correctly you need to go into settings and in the make default you want to click disabled. wording may not be correct its been a couple of months. I also believe there was an update that was supposed to solve this problem.

I've been a Handcent user for quite some time and love many of the features (a bit too many for my taste). One of the issues that I have is the Contact Group Listing names not being visible when viewing for independent people in that group. So, if I go to:

Create a New Message | + (Plus Icon) to add people | Group Folder (Middle Top) | Phone or Handcent Folder | My Contacts

If I expand this group it lists all of the contacts in that group showing a white background, Avitar, and phone number all in a light grey. It doesn't show their names unless I scroll the listing. When I do scroll the listing, the background for the contacts immediately changes to "black" and everything, including the names are highly visible. Once the scrolling action stops, it goes back to a white background, with white names (making them invisible) and everything else is in light grey. If I "edit" the group, then the background is white, the names, numbers, avatars, and checkboxes are all highly visible in dark colors with a white background.

Is there something I can change to make either the background remain black at all times, or white at all times such as in "edit" mode, or download a fix for this issue? It's been this way for several version, but just now looking for help as I'm contemplating switching to GoSMS Pro.

If anyone knows of a fix, program settings change, or whatever to make this work for me all the time, it would make my OCD/ADD/ADHD and all the other bad acronyms go away! :-)
 
The only thing that I can think of is switch already. Handcent is a nice SMS application but IMO GO is much better. You can download/create themes and have it your way
