Handcent SMS problems

[luckysister2]

I just recently downloaded the handcent SMS and when I go into settings then custom style it will stay in it for a few seconds then I get a black screen and then it goes back to settings. I can't customize anything, and it does the same when i'm reading my messagse. Is this a glitch?

I use Handcent and I've never had any problems like that with changing the settings (which I've done many times as I changed ROMs). I'd first suggest a simple reboot of your phone to see if that fixes the problem. If it doesn't then try uninstalling and reinstalling Handcent.

I use a custom handcent that a member here modified to get rid of the ads and speed it up. Search for "Custom handcent" It's much better than the handcent you get from the market. The only downfall is you can't use the handcent widget. I never used it so it's not an issue for me.
