Root Hard Bricked, Farewell

I have hard bricked my motion trying to find a way to un-lock the boot loader, by writing to qfuses.

It is un-brickable

Since I no longer have a working Motion, I will not be able to contribute anymore to the Motions development.

I have been way too busy to spend a lot of time on it anyway, but I have been testing stuff like bootloader, CM10, and ROM porting.

I have been checking this forum quite often, but I tend to lose interest in a phone if I do not have it, and cant play with it.

Anyway, I wanted to wish you guys/gals the best, and I hope Bobz and Playfulgod get you a 100 percent working CM10

y'all suck I thought we were community if one man falls I believe we can help him out in donating a new motion.get real .he's the one that showed us the most productivity. I have 20 on it and hopefully next paycheck
 
I had an app write into sbl .told lg it just wouldnt boot
They told me to send it in for reflash
Is qfuse a physical part?
And i am very sorry to hear bud,makes me cry

I'm sure we could all raise the donation money needed to get a new one, but it sounds like we would be going through a lot of phones before we do get an unlocked bootloader :(

P.S. it only costs $15.90 to have the Corp store replace it ;)
 
I was listening to Pandora and the phone shut down and now won't turn back on.... what's going on? How did this happen? Lol

Hi adnamex

I appreciate this, but it is not necessary, If I can get a replacement for 15 bucks as Sammy has said I will try that

any donation that I do receive would go to either a Motion (if it does not get replaced) or service for the Motion that I do get so that I can test RIL stuff

to date I have only received one donation from the Motion community from Johnny Crapple, and I issued him a refund, because I knew I would not be able to spen much time on development any more

qfuse is part of the cpu, and it is kind of like a check list of how thing run like security

when you write to a fuse you can not erase what you did, you can increment it

if you write to a fuse and make it 0x03 you can not go back and make it 0x00 or 0x02

you can make it 0x04 or higher

my i wrote to some fuses and it will not do anything now, no emode or anything

it does not matter to me because I have an S3 and my Motion was my spare / dev phone
 
Yeah finally getting around to sending mine in
Its acts completly dead other than laptop asks for qhsusb dload driver
Just got an authorization number from lg and sending it in after the weekend.
 
Sad to see you go buddy appreciate all your hard work though if i could i would donate but i don't get paid for two weeks :(
 
I might buy the phones which are bricked due to bootloader mess, but the phone should be able to go into qhusb_dload (no i dont have anything secret which can magically fix the phones which are in this mode). I will be testing something very soon and after that i can check probably any custom code i want to throw.
 
Is it totally impossible to fix this
I mean beyond lg fixing?
I just sent mine to lg cost 16 bucks to send from california.Thats including this badass box with foam made just for cellphones and insured for 150.
