Hardware issue?

My daughter's Eris is experiencing a new problem. The microphone does not work for outgoing calls. She can hear the other person, but they cannot hear her. Rebooting did not fix the problem. My husband tried the factory reset last night and that did not fix it either.

Looks like a new Eris for her?

Has anyone else had similar problems with the Eris? My husband wanted to ground her for "breaking" her phone, but I don't think she did anything to it.

no haha. your daughter is fine. it sounds like a bad case of the silent bug
best thing you can do is take it into the store and if they can reproduce the issue after doing a data reset then they should replace it at no cost.

Replacement is on the way. The Verizon rep talked my husband out of grounding her. Said it's a common problem and she didn't break it.
