Hello,
I posted another thread before about having force close issues and the phone resetting itself. I ended up sending it in to Samsung. I had read a post on here before (that I can't find now) about someone else who had sent their phone in to Samsung, got it back, and it had the same issues again.
They did the repair today, and here are the notes:
9/21/2011 1:54 PM-Graciela: The unit is shipped.

9/21/2011 10:18 AM-Van: The unit is repaired. SOLUTION: Replaced Component
---
Then I received an email update confirming it was shipped that also said:
*Original Problem:*
ANDROID - APPLICATION - APPLICATION FREEZING
*Problem found:*
WILL NOT CHARGE
*Solution:*
REPLACED COMPONENT
---
That made me go wtf? I never had charging issues. See, I had also sent them the battery and charging cable because I told the phone rep the phone got hot right away when it was charging. Maybe they all do, but she told me to send in the battery and cable. I thought possibly it was overheating and that was causing all the freezing issues.
So, now I am pissed. I called and their phone reps don't have any information beyond what I can already see myself. All I want to know is, what component did they replace? I'm worried they just replaced the battery or some other ridiculous shit. I highly doubt I got a new phone. It doesn't even seem like they tested it much.
Anyone else had to send a phone back in the past and got the same uninformative notes? I bet I'll get it back and have the same problems again. On the bright side, they couldn't tell it was rooted previously. I used Odin though to remove it.
