Help Has anyone found earbuds that actually work properly with Skyrocket?

I have a nice set of earbuds from Bose that I love. Problem is that the ff controls and volume controls do not work that are in line. Basically, the only thing that works is the pause and the mic. I also don't like the fact that plugging them in does not mute the external speaker. Ringtones still play on the external speaker of the phone.

Bueller?

Have you tried any other headphones? I have had no issues with the sound coming out of the external speaker while using line in to our car stereo. All of our headphones are Bluetooth so I can not answer the controls issue. I will see if I can find a pair with controls but that function is usually hit or miss with a number of devices

I just ordered the Klipsch S4A. It appears that these were made for Android OS. I'll let you all know when I get them in two days.

Ok guys I got the android specific Klipsch ear buds. Installed the control app. It does everything,(skip forward, skip back, pause, answer, volume up) EXCEPT Volume down.
Another failure compared to how IOS works....

again, I have had no issues with a number of devices...why blame the failure of a separate piece of hardware on your phone?

It isn't an iphone...if you were expecting that...take it back :p

I was checking out the Klipsch control app, installed it on my HTC Inspire 4G to use with my Skull Candy 50/50 earbuds. I was fiddling around with the settings, and came across the minimum and maximum volume settings. Even with such settings, it's so difficult to maneuver the volume control, which is to long press the button, and increase the volume, which is not well thought out. I was hoping it would let me at least be able to use the actual volume buttons, but like the product says, it's only Apple product compatible. Is there no other headphone(s) that can do such a simply task of decreasing/increasing the volume of the music with the straight forward button pressing? I thought Android's were supposed to be user friendly and convenient, but in reality, why have the disadvantage for some of the stuff that comes standard and expected of iPhones... -_- I don't want to pay $200+ just to have full control of my phone and the music with the headset.

Hahaha...it isn't an iPhone! It never will be :p

Have you checked into bt stereo phones. I have both the Motorola's (39-49$$ everywhere this weekend) and the jaybirds(99)..all functions work fine on both

I have the jabra sport BT earbuds and they work great. The only drawback is answering a phone call, I like the in line mic feature of a wired headset.
