Has anyone tried LagFix (manual fstrim app) to fix storage slow down?

Because our phones don't have 4.3, there's no support for trim by default. This apps runs fstrim manually apparently. (requires root)

[APP] LagFix (fstrim) v1.5.1 2013.03.04 - xda-developers

I read it could brick some phones though (mainly Samsung has been reported, but including an LG O2x) so I haven't had the nerve to try it yet though. I can't find any optimus f6 users who have tried it. There's has been a noticeable slow down on my phone so I really hope it works.

EDIT: Can confirm the app does not brick the phone.

I know this doesn't specifically answer your question but I run that app twice a week on my LG G2 and have since release day (never updated past 4.2.2). Like you said, it'd be nice to get verification from another user of your phone but I can at least confirm there's not an issue with LG devices in general.

Let us know if you notice a speed-up or not after running it. I researched this in the past, and after some digging around, came to the conclusion that some manufacturers use SSD drivers that automatically handles the low-level freeing of unused memory blocks regularly. Android 4.3 only added fstrim support because it was needed by Nexus devices, since they did not do this at the memory controller level.

Well, I went for it and I can confirm that the app did not brick the phone if anyone wants to try it.

I can't confirm if it actually worked though because before I used it, I deleted like 400mb worth of stuff. It does feel more responsive, but I don't know if it was the app or simply deleting stuff that did the trick.

It also only took a few seconds to run, when I expected it to take minutes. Maybe it didn't do anything? I did a get "Partition was trimmed" and "Finished, hurray!" messages though.
