Dude/Gal, get some work done...lol.... I see you watching the world cup, smoking and drinking, and surfing the web...wow....

I really like this camera! Here are some of my pics.

These pics are from the World Cup watch party here in Kansas City, this past Saturday.

I have to say I'm not all that impressed with the camera, of all the shots I've seen posted, one of them was full size and actually did look good. Most of these are resized so you can't see the terrible terrible graininess of the camera. Yes I realize it's a camera on a phone, but it's nothing to be impressed with.

The shots where a higher ISO is used do look grainy but the shots where ISO 100 or 200 are used with decent light look great for this being a phone based camera with no editing done. If you wanted to edit one of these photos there are many ways you could make them better and I am currently working on a project to display this. If it's something important then of course use a camera with a larger sensor but for fun or polaroid style shooting, this is no different than the current popularity of Lomography, Ipod photography and the toy camera trends that exist.

why do you want such big pictures? i don't think anyone is getting them printed to posters. Works fine as a point and shoot for me.

Even though it's says 8MP, the sensor is small so I personally wouldn't print beyond 5x7 or 8x10 if it was a really image. Anyway, is this going to become the image thread or is someone going to start an different one just for images like the wallpaper thread?

Above is my flickr photo stream. Currently 7 pics, 4 taken with the attachable macro lens.

If you're interested in the macro lens, check out "Pillbug running away", "Ant", and "Daisy" in particular. Those were taken with me holding the phone in my hand (i.e. no tripod or other support). I had the ISO set to max to reduce blurring of motion and you can see how well that turned out.

You have flowers taken at ISO 1250 and they still look great.

Beautiful. Simply beautiful.

The macro lens is the one from THIS article? If it isn't, could you tell us where to find it?

It is the exact same product. Unlike the author of the article, I did use the taped metal ring on my phone, so the ring is permanently attached to my phone. The ring doesn't seem to cause any problems and (IMHO) acts as added protection against scratches to the phone's lens.

I ordered mine from cellularfactory.com. There were two coupon codes, one for 10% off and one for free shipping. HOWEVER, it took over 3 weeks to receive my order. They do not give you a tracking number, they rarely answer calls. Emails go unanswered. I finally got a hold of someone by randomly hitting buttons while in their voicemail, they sent me out another order with tracking number, saying the first was likely lost in the mail. I got the original and the replacement on the same day. I've now got to go to the post office and return the 2nd one to them. i.e. I do not recommend cellularfactory.com, you might want to go online and read reviews when selecting a better site.

I really do love my macro lens. I haven't done much with the wide angle. The wide angle does work, but I don't really notice any significant increase in viewing angle to justify using it often.

Wow. Just wow. I think the shots are great. And it's a phone! My Apple phone's camera is so bad I never use it. Huh. To each his own. I can't wait to have a camera that 'unimpressive'.
