Help HBO app?

Works great for me. Very nice app. The older HBO app does not work for me, but the new HBO Go works great.
 
How come I can't find it in the market and the link gives me a message "item cant be found" and The market website said its not compatible with my device, but my rooted Eris is? Wtf
 
I was just going to start a thread about this. I just downloaded it and it's pretty impressive. They have every HBO series available to watch instantly. For example, they have every season of The Sopranos and even have older, lesser known series like Summer Hight's High (hilarious, btw). Once you make an account on your phone you also have access to HBO GO on your laptop which is great. I was watching an episode of "How to make it in America" on my phone, but had to stop watching because I go a phone call. 15 minues later I signed into HBO GO on my laptop and it started playing the episode where I left off on my phone. If you're an HBO subscribed you definitely need to check this app out.
 
Anyone have any ideas why it won't work for me??? I am on the leak if that helps. This is bumming me out I really want this app. Don't know why it says my device isn't compatible

Leaked what, HBO app? Common sense would say to get rid of the leak and install the real market version :)

no nooo the leaked version of the OTA! I'm trying to get the app, except it won't sow up in my market and somehow my device isn't compatible for it?? this is some bulllllllllllllllllsh*t!

leaked version of the ota? Are you rooted? I'm assuming you have tbolt,
Right? More info and maybe we can narrow it down.

Well I did post this in the thunderbolt forums! ;) haha. Anyways, yes I have a Thunderbolt, I'm on the leaked version of the OTA that was posted about a week or so ago. Not rooted however. The app does not show up in a search of the market, nor does a direct link to the app work. I get a message saying "Item cannot be found". Trying to install it from the market website says my device is not compatible. However my brothers fascinate can get it and it says my rooted eris is compatible. So I don't know whats wrong
 
in the market my phone shows up as "verizon HTC ADR6400L" instead of a Thunderbolt. so maybe thats whats f'd up idk .

I don't think that what's causing your issue, but I could be wrong
 
i live in a place that has free hbo but couldnt find it either, so app doesnt work for me either unless its because i get hbo free??

Make sure your cable provider works with it. DirecTV, Dish, Comcast, Charter, Cox, and Verizon FIOS are the ones that it works with.

I do have a cable provider that works with it. That's not it, the problem is it doesn't show up in the market nor will the website let me install it. I'm just gonna wait till the official OTA hits and if it doesn't work after that I'll try to get a replacement cause thats my phone tweakin

Thats strange; i'm using a custom ROM that was created with the leak and everything worked fine for me. Try clearing your Market cache and see if that helps if you haven't already.

@mbaverizon yeah that's probably why. My sister lives somewhere that provides HBO and I don't think its working for her either with her DInc.
 
Working well for me, the only weird thing I had happen was that I couldn't sign in with my account on the website. I signed up and everything on my phone, verified that it worked and everything was good. Then went to log in on my computer and everytime I went to hit sign in, it would take me to the sign up page and make me try to create a new account, which of course I couldn't because it said I already had one at my email address.

The help for the website is pretty non-exsistant, so I called Direct TV to see if they could help and they couldn't figure it out either. So I had to set up a second account (new user name and email) for the web site, lol. Everything works now but I have two accounts (one for my phone and another for the computer), so I can't watch my saved stuff between devices. Other then that it is awesome.

I had the same problem!! I installed the app on my phone and my ipad and I had to create 2 different acct's. Then last night, it wouldn't let me watch any shows because it kept saying that my Go ID is being used somewhere else and that I need to log off from the other device to watch on my phone. That id only exists on my phone. I'm using the same Directv email on my phone and ipad and I signed off my ipad and still wouldn't let me watch. It finally started working again this morning. Sigh. Other than that, I love the app and love watching Sex and The City! It's not Netflix, but I love HBO shows.

I wonder if it is a Directv thing, that is who I have as well. Hmmm it is a weird problem indeed. But hey I got to catch up on the first 2 episodes of Game of Thrones, so it is all good :)
