Root ****HBOOT Downgrade (Working AOSP and GB ROMS)****

Does the roms we use on here (mobster/midnight/harmonia) require the later bootloader? I'm also at work and won't be able to delete the file once loaded.

If you are running a ROM like Harmonia (that is what I was running) it should boot back up just fine after the install and then use a file explorer to remove it.

My Rom does not require the later bootloader it booted back into Mobster Rom V right after the downgrade :)
 
I can confirm AOKP M6 boots with Anthrax kernel 3.0.2 :) Great work, Krowley!

Edit: ha! It's been so long since I flashed an AOSP rom that I completely forgot to flash GAPPS.

Haha nice. Do you have a link to that rom? I'm gonna be flashing a variety of stuff today, because I can now :)
 
Awesome that this opens up jelly bean etc as possibilities! Will probably wait till they have more working in them before flashing though. Great work krowley!

This does not change the PRI. If you would like to do that you will need to go to PM me for the link for download for that as it is still in testing. Continue to follow the SMS Fix thread started by LeslieAnn as we will try to keep that separate.

this is probably the hugest breakthrough we have had with development along with s off...great job Krowley

Running devil toast no issues so far..4g working ..

I was running team derps sense 3.6

Downloaded image..must put it in the root of your SD like the open states..or else it won't be recognized.. also its gonna boot you into fast boot..select boot loader from there..it will see the image and prompt you to install..select volume up..then after its done it prompts for reboot..reboot now..boot up and right away use file explorer to delete the pgimage from your SD..then boot back into recovery and wipe cache..then wipe everything else as well..data and all..then format everything except your SD..and flash your from of choice...<-----------for anyone unsure of what to do..

This opens up several more doors now..we are not chained to HTC sense rooms anymore
 
Now if we can just get somebody who is more versed in AOSP roms to get MMS working (I honestly havent tested on CM9) and change all the Sprint stuff over the VM (doesnt really bother me). I have edited the build.prop of DevilsToast but it did not seem to change anything like it usually does.
 
Jelly bean was fast as hell but buggy obviously, being in Alpha.

Running CM9 now...I forgot if anthrax 3.0.2 would work with this.

It should, but honestly i have not found a reason to try yet. I am getting the best battery life ever on DT CM9 with kernel included in the rom.
 
Niiice man, I was so close to trying this a couple weeks ago but couldn't risk the brick.Props!

I only modified the install file to allow it to install on our hardware. I did not modify the HBOOT at all. I almost didnt do it because I was scared, but said F it and did it fast before I could over think it. I knew that getting the HBOOT back would probably just involve running the RUU, so what did I really have to lose. Plus I still have my OV here that I could have switched to if needed.
 
Changing the Hboot won't affect the other roms we already have and our backups? I am on midnight rom but also have a harmonia and the stock backed up. It's funny, I have rooted, done s-off, changed my prl etc. but I still get nervous with each of these changes before I do them. Which I guess is probably actually a good thing....

Should not at all but I have not tested. I really dont see a reason why it would.

I seen those. But instead of saying 4G in the status bar, it's blank.
