Root Hboot Not Downgrading No Matter how often I try

well i;m not the only person getting that problem, and that fix above is for people that are having that problem so the problem exists even if you haven't experienced it - not for all, but for some, so it's do the hack or wait for a new release

hes not saying that sekhu
hes saying its not an issue with the hboot
im on 93 aswell btw

ok i jumped the gun there, thanks for calrifying. Well, that's good to know that the unrevoked works pon 0.93, and i don't have to downgrade (as I was suggested to do), it's one less headache, but unfortunately I still can't root :(

hey there's a new exploit out called superoneclick, or at least an app that does the exploit thing.

So I tried it and it said that it rooted my phone. On the xda developers site it reads that htc desire gsm and cdma (I think) only do shell roots. What does that mean for me and the htc desire that I have which I believe is GSM?

I read in another thread here that if I go to adb shell and enter su it would give me an # to indciate that the pone has been rooted. Well I tried it once, and it said permission denied, I tried it a second time and it outputted # so is the phone rooted now? What can I try to check that it is?

thanks in advance

yeah that root method doesnt work

Should I just contact htc and tell them I tried to root my phone and that's resulted in a bad block or sector, and I need it repaired? It will be charged out of waranty, and it will cost about

wait for what? The next version of unrevoked? I can wait, I don't mind. I was just excited at the prospect of rooting my htc desire. Ok maybe I'm just a little impatient

Telling HTC you've deliberately tried to break their T&Cs isn't a wise move, they'll just laugh at you and refuse you support
