Root Hboot root question

I'm thinking about buying an EvoLTE online to save my upgrade for a future date. If it is possible to find is there a Hboot that is easier to unlock or is there an easy root method now?

the easiest would be for hboot 1.12 to get s-off with lazy panda

anything higher then that will be more difficult. that is if you want s-off. you can still have s-on and flash roms and such, but it will be slightly different.

I was talking about the secondary market. :p

I'd consider $250ish pretty cheap considering the age its been out and when you compare to what people are asking for the s3 or note 2

I want to save my upgrade for something new next year and I figured since the Evo Lte hasn't gone as well as they probably hoped the prices would be good to purchase off contract and give me something new to play with. :D
 
Yeah I think with the announcement of the s3 right after this came out they have more product than demand. That's good for anyone looking to get one

I believe this is why it's being offered at the price you see nowadays. Samsung really did their homework and launched the S3 at the right time to steal HTC's thunder on the El Tevo. My personal .02 there. :)

PS: I'm extremely happy with mine, just sayin.:p

It didn't help that Apple delayed the EVO launch.:mad:

Also, does that mean we won't get as many dev teams working on stuff for this phone if the GS3 is more popular?:o

Development for this phone is great, no complaints from me. ;)

Now you can't compare it to the OG evo tho. I don't think we'll see that type of game changing phone for a while. Development for the OG was beyond comprehension, no other phone comes close IMHO.

We've got plenty of development going on. Just about any major ROM you can ask for we have. CM10, AOKP, ParanoidAndroid, MIUI, sense-based ROMS. We've got deck and toast heading up cm10, and ropodope, mik, chad goodman, myn, virus, ect all came from the OG to the EVO 4G LTE.

The s3 will have more people, simply because its on every carrier.

I really don't understand why HTC doesn't do more competitive pricing or marketing, they know they are losing ground to Sammy and yet they do nothing. My friend got an SIII for $50!! Seems like there are always deals for Samsung, a BOGO this month!! I'm tempted to take advantage of the BOGO deals and sell the extra phone but, I really don't want SIII. If I were HTC, I'd be losing sleep over how to get these phones on the streets and in action.
