Where are you reading this exactly? Is your Evo flashed over to Metro? I've never heard of an hboot version reading 6.16...sure it's not 2.16?

He Rooted with Revolutionary. It's the Hboot Number for most GB Rooted Phones. Mine is the Same. You will need to Follow The Unroot Section in Gingerbread Guide to Unroot this one. There have been issues Unrooting Not sure why it is this way but only that it is.

Like the poster above stated: 6.15 & 6.16 are rooted devices. I didnt even realize this myself until a few weeks ago.

Can you tell I've been out of the loop for a few months lol?

This has been one of my gripes with the new root method. If a Sprint tech is on his or her toes they can tell the phone was rooted by the hboot #.

Most don't care, but there are a few chodes out there who get off on screwing people over. :(

Unrooting returns the phone to the normal hboot though.

I had a sprint tech go through mine with a fine toothed comb when I had an issue with the phone always being in car mode. Good thing I unrooted fully or I woulda been screwed
