HD or S

Hi guys

I am an original desire owner and will be for another year until my contract runs out :( 2 year contracts, who'd have em?

The reason that I am posting here though, is on behalf of a friend of mine. He was after the incredible, but due to tariff prices, he has decided to go for a Desire HD or S. Without much time for research as he wants it after work today, we just wondered how you guys were getting on with the HD? how does it compare with the S etc. I would usually research myself but without the time, thought this would be the ideal place to ask.

Cheers guys

I love my phone and hardly ever stop playing with it, in fact I love it so much I'm happy to have it sat in my pants pocket next to my balls, absorbing its warming radiation. ;)

Do him a favour and persuade him not to get either!!!!! have you not seen the crap we have to put up with from HTC!! :D

I'd say the HD too... a mate has the S and, although it looks nice (and to be honest, the GPS is LOADS better), it's just not the same as the HD!

I'd also say that it's worth rooting... opens up so many more possibilities and makes that 2yr contract a little more bearable!!

Or just nudge him down the path to rooting...

Both of these. :)

Admittedly, there are a number of users who've had issues with the updates from HTC, but they can easily be solved by switching to a custom ROM.

At the request of stublake, a lot of the custom ROMs contain extra radiation, specifically for this purpose.

Cheers guys. I don't think he has a lot of choice, HD Seems hard to get hold of now. Why such a short availability span? Well I need to think about rooting my original desire. Still have a year left. We ain't even got gb on unbranded handsets yet :(
