Does anyone know for sure any HDMI adapter that works with the GNEX with JB OTA update. Mine stopped working. I'm on stock JB.

I got this one from Amazon back in January (seller etekcity). Works fine on JB with no problems, though I don't have a 1080p TV to test 1080p but 720p worked fine.
You may want to edit your title to say something to the effect of "....that works on Jelly Bean". There have been a ton of "which HDMI/MHL cable...." threads on here and people may ignore it thinking its just one more.

IS there a certain order for plugging in the cables?

Not that I know of. Sometimes it takes a couple of seconds to come on screen though, and if I recall, the 1st time I used it months ago I had to reconnect the cables to get it to come on, so its possible. I usually plug the adapter into the wall first, then connect the HDMI to the TV, then connect the phone. That worked for me today when I tested it.
