HDMI is on the device and can be made to work if the kernel is changed i assume , the build pro shows it as disabled and i found a shortcut on the anycut app that has hdmi test on it so i assume it can be fixed to work with our device

I'm confused...
Wouldn't you need an HDMI port. I'm looking at my Connect right now and my phone does not have one.

It may have a chip capable inside, but it will do you no good as there is no port. In fact I think that's why it's slimmer than the esteem, perhaps less hardware as far as hdmi goes.

Thanks very important and useful post, soon when I have money I will try this I just wonder how will we activate it though, just connect it and it will start mirroring or have to get special app. Please let me or us know thanks, this will be great as it was one sacrifice i had to or we had to make from the Esteem aside from the notification LED light which was awesome and the screen is ok since its so much more prettier on the connect once again thanks for this useful information sir

An MHL adapter should work for HDMI. Most phones are using this now so that they can save on manufacturing cost by not having to put in an HDMI chipset/port.

if you look in the build prop is shows it hdmi disabled so when a custom kernel is made i am sure it can be made to work with hdmi that is why i started the topic to begin with
