HDR mode

I'm trying to help a friend who has a Droid. Is there anyway to get the phone in HDR only mode? He wants to use his data only without interruption from phone calls and texts. I've searched, but haven't found out how.

There is no way to just turn off the phone as fasr as I know.

Hmm, I wonder if you use the menu that you access by dialing: *#*#4636#*#*

and then set it to 3G (EVDO Rev A) only you could disable calling, which comes in via 1x CDMA. This might work, with the disadvantage being you can only get 3G reception, and in 1x-only areas you'll be in an effective dead zone.

Thanks. What he's trying to do is race online. He lives in a rural area, so its his only net. He has 3g, he just has a problem if someone calls him during a race and drops connection.

I do the same thing with my TP2. I can access it using the ##778 menu and switch to HDR only mode.
