Help headphone indicator

i plugged in my headphone and i don't see the indicator but i do hear sound coming from headphones. is it suppose to have indicator showing on top?

I am now on Jelly Bean, Android 4.1.2, but I'm fairly sure that I had the same Status Bar indicator on ICS...

My mistake then. It would seem that ICS has no headphone indicator but Jelly Bean does.

I'm afraid Ijaz Ahmed, that you would have to be rooted and running a deodexed ROM, such as NEAT ROM LSJ, to enable the mod package which includes either blue or green icons, centred clock and transparent Status bar.

That's a question best asked of Samsung. Perhaps they assumed that the wire attached to the top of the device was enough of a reminder to users that something was connected?

This indicator might be useful in case of bluetooth headsets, if they exist.
